Will he come back Tarot spread (Updated)

Original spread here;

It should have been "Should he come back?" spread because it gives us so much insight into situation. I have already done this spread once and now I need to do it again.

Will he come back tarot spread
The First card tells motivation why you want this person back;

King of Swords:
I usually look at court cards as people instead of as feelings or situations. The King of Swords can be the "he" in question. The reason for wanting him back is because either the querent is fancied by his intellect and his gift of gab or the querent wants things to be fair and just. The attribute of fair and just comes from this man's sword he is holding.

The querent said she wants him back because there have been some misunderstandings and she wants to clarify those and then peacefully decide whether to move on but she believes she deserves a chance to be understood.

Past is Cards 2 & 3:
Three of Wands and Ten of Pentacles

The Three of Wands is about dreaming big, looking at bigger picture and planning how to make your dreams come true. The Ten of Pentacles is the card of ultimate material success and financial abundance. Being number 10 in the suits of Pentacles, its the achievement of dreams, financially well-off period, success and basically a great card. Together it looks like they had a long-term planning to grow old together or live happily-ever-after. The Ten of Pentacles in past position also indicates that the foundation of the matter is material comfort.

The querent updated that financial problems lead to the current situation. They had a plan for having family and having a life-time together but somehow things did not pan out the way they should have.

The Action/Handle of the door:
This card number 4 tells what needs to be done to bring him back:
Temperance:
This card means, patience, trying to find balance, healing, finding middle ground in an argument, and above all, mixing different actions to find the right thing. The Temperance is also a card which requires calm and patience so I believe no fast action will do that. She needs to find the right amount of push and pull to bring this guy back. First of all, step back, break contact, find inner-peace, find inner-strength, heal yourself, and also make sure you look at both sides of the story. If you find him pushing you away there is a reason probably. Try to be patient, very calm.

The Challenge:
Three of Swords;
ohh not good. This looks like what has separated you two is hurting each other's feelings and now both feel sad and heartbroken and this is the main challenge. Its funny that heartbreak and sorrow is the lock and the action is healing and finding peace. This card does not only show the pain you are feeling, but also the pain you are inflicting upon others. With Temperance, it means you have to heal what you have inflicted upon both you and him.

Outside influences on situation:
The World:
The outer influences on the situation look welcoming. There has been a project which reached its end successfully. It also shows that both people are busy right now with their work or their lives. But its a good card and the outside influences are not negatively effecting the situation.

What lies on the other side:
Knight of Wands, Death & Nine of Cups
The Knights are usually messengers. This knight brings sudden solutions. This knight is fast and adventurous. He can also be a man coming in your time, can be the ex-man too. The Death card represents something coming to an end and The Nine of Cups is the ultimately wish card which fulfils your wishes.
Them three together say that there is a man coming up, or a new adventure coming up which will quickly end a chapter in querent's life and whatever querent's been wishing for, she will have better than that.

The Key:
Tower:
This card basically talks about bringing it all down and then starting fresh. This card typically says, change the situation and change it drastically. Even if it means breaking ties and then re-building them, do that.

Overall, it looks like things were great with them, and now she misses him. She can be patient and should focus on self-healing because the main challenge that lies between them is the pain and sorrow. The outside influences are also supporting her. In future there can be a quick ending to what she has been wishing for but she will get far better than what she wanted. She might have to rebuild the relationship from zero.

There are 2 swords, 2 wands, 1 cups and 1 Pentacles card. Four cards are major cards which indicate most of the things are out of her control.

I welcome opinions and suggestions on this spread and its interpretation.

Update: Well the client has exactly incorporated the techniques which are elaborated by the Temperance card and they are back in touch. It has come to surface that the real reason why he was trying to get away because some of the things she said hurt him bad (Three of Swords in challenge position) because of which he was shutting her out. Things are not normal, the way they interact has changed (Death) but she is determined and happy. It looks like she will just about make it. (Nine of Cups).

Relationship Problem Solving Spread

Original spread here
Deck images used: Druidcraft Tarot

Card 1: The problem, the real question; present situation, reason for asking.
Wheel of Fortune

Cards 2,3,4,5 and 6 represent the nature of the relationship.

Card 2: Shows how you relate to the other person.  Strength
Card 3: Shows how the other person relates to you. The Magician
Card 4: Shows what the relationship looks like as a whole. The High Priestess
Card 5: Shows your hopes, needs and desires in the relationship. Page of Wands
Card 6: Shows the other person's hopes, needs, and desires in the relationship.
Six of Swords

The Wheel of Fortune as card one shows that there has been some fateful event, some thing that happened out of the control of both persons involved and this has brought a crucial matter up. The wheel of Fortune is a change, a movement and a next chapter card. There are some big changes happening in the relationship.

The way these two people relate to each other is very different. One person is compassionate and understanding while the other person is trying to be the master-mind and Mr. know-it-all. Magician is also someone who cons other people but he has vast mental power. We see infinity sign on both cards, they both have limitless energy in this relationship. The Magician is also the powerful and the controlling one, the master at his game.

On the whole the relationship looks deep and mysterious. Things are not completely revealed yet. There is a great effect of going with intuition and following one's guts here. Overall the relationship looks serene and composed but who knows what lies behind the curtain.

Cards 5 & 6 shows they both want, hope and desire same thing, change, adventure, a new outlook. Both 6 of Swords and Page of Wands are the cards of adventure and leaving things behind and moving on. But If we look closely, they both are moving in opposite direction.

Cards 7,8,9, represent conflicts and insights into impediments.

Card 7: What is causing conflict or impediments. Ace of Wands
Card 8: Represents your perspective of the problem and how you will deal with it. Five of Wands
Card 9: Represents the other person's perspective on the problem and how they will deal with. The Devil

This card Ace of Wands shows there is a new beginning and the raw power and the energy is becoming difficult to handle for both individuals.

The person 1 is taking the confrontation door to solve this issue while the other person is playing mysterious and cold here. The shadow of the Devil behind the sleeping lovers shows that this person does not want to confront the situation, he wants to play dark and illusive. He wants to remain a slave to some illusion he has created about the dynamics of this relationship in which things are happy and content and he is the master.

Looking at the people, person 1 is very understanding and compassionate in the relationship but her actions are too child-like. She wants kiddish stuff. To solve the problem she wants to confront the problem heads on.

The guy in the situations is powerful and he believes he can make the relationship go in any direction he wants. He hopes and seeks a change in his life through this relationship but he does not want to solve the problem, he rather wants to stay a slave to his illusions.

Cards 10, 11, 12 offers insight and solutions

Card 10: What needs to change to overcome challenges. Two of Wands
Card 11: This is how you can resolve any differences and how you can improve the relationship and take it to the next level. Ten of Swords

The Two of Wands is usually a stubborn person who is waiting for something to arrive This aspect of the relationship needs to change. This is the card of personal power and both individuals need to realize that relationship is not about their personal power play.
The differences can be resolved by putting an end to the older themes and patterns of the relationship. The 10 of Swords calls for an end to old habits and behaviors.

Card 12: Crucial Insight; additional advice or outcome.

Ace of Swords in this position shows that there will be a new fresh start, with a clear understanding of the relationship. This is also a card of mental clarity which will be the essence of the relationship if the advice is followed.

Overall we have 5 majors, 4 wands and 3 swords. There are two aces.
A majority of major arcana reveals that there are things which are out of control of the querent. A majority of wands on querent 1's side shows she is more hasty and impulsive. The suit of Cups is missing and also Pentacles. There is a lack of emotional understanding and a lack of practicality. Things are just heated up and blowing and will cool off shortly.

8-Strength

The card I'm looking at today is:

8-Strength, as the name suggests is the card of strength, not power. In the picture we see this lady with a lion, because of the presence of Lion, this card is associated with the Zodiac Sign Leo which is the 5th sign of the zodiac.

The keywords which are associated with this card are strength not with violence but with patience, and  conquering with patience. The face of the lady is not filled with rage or anger but rather she is very calm and is patiently handling the furious animal like Lion. The symbol is that you can even tame the king of the jungle with your patience and your calmness. The infinity sign on the head of the lady is like the one in the 1-The Magician card. This sign of infinity tells us that we, all of us, have an infinite strength which is our mental strength with which we can conquer all.

As a person

This card if representing a person, is of great mental strength. They have great deal of mental power to overcome situations. They will not force or over-power you. You will always find them very serene and composed. They are truly compassionate and very understanding when it comes to challenges. They accept any kind of challenges and will always try to handle the situation in a compassionate and understanding manner.

As a situation:

You will find yourself dealing with some hurtful remarks, a kind of situation where you can have two choices. You can get all mad and fight back with raw energy or you can remain calm and understand the situation and win it all. Honestly speaking in my opinion, snapping or shouting in situations where the strength card is involved does not do you the best. If you however remain calm and composed you will find that eventually things will happen in your own favour.

Astrological association: Leo
Keywords: compassion and understanding, unlimited mental strength
Numerological association: 8, infinity, repetition, cycles, balance, karma, cause and effect. This number usually requires patience.

Weekly tarotscope

Original Spread here

Myself:

10 of Wands:
I do feel overworked. At home things are not so cool and there are exams going on so I do feel overloaded with too much on my plate.
The 10 of Wands is amplified by another Wands card adjacent to it. This is something I can and will feel a lot in next week.

Theme of the Week:
Page of Wands
This card is about adventurous young person. This card also has represented a man in my life. The theme is feeling young at heart, a news is expected and adventure is the name of the game. This card is surrounded by Fire and Air, both amplifying it.

Challenges:
King of Swords
A cold man, who is very straight forward and is in position of authority. This man will be a challenge this week. The King is Surrounded by Fire and Air , which makes him in a stronger position.

Responses:
Four of Swords
I find myself being calm, and in dire need to rest in this week. I will probably be busy preparing myself for even worst. This card is surrounded by Air and Earth (Hermit is Virgo). The middle card here is moderatley active.

Advice:
Hermit
Self reflection and taking time off which is also given in the previous card. This card says whatever you are searching for you will find inside you. This card is Earth surrounded by Air and water. Here the Hermit card is moderately weak. I might not feel myself doing it more often.

Thought:
King of Cups
My thought are on a man who is very caring and sensitive and a deeper individual. The King is flanked by Earth but these both are passive and slow cards.

Reading them in combinations:
10 of Wands and King of Cups
I will be overworked because of man involved

Page of Wands  and Hermit
The adventure will be more self-inclined

King of Swords and Three of Swords
need to calm myself to face this authority figure

There are 2 Wands, 2 Swords and 1 water and 1 major cards.
The Fire and Air cards say this is a time to think and act. Two Kings represent two important men.

So much for the week ahead.

New Moon Super Power Spread by Lisa Flloyd

Here is the original spread

My Super Power Spread
1. First position tells what my super power is:
14 - Temperance:
mixing and matching, mixing the opposites and synthesis. I agree this is one of my biggest talents which definitely comes with 20/2 life path. I call myself a peace maker and my ability to bring people together and resolve their issues is superb. I'm also great with healing, bringing people to realize their potential and what they are lacking. Its a great gift.Another great thing about this card is that in RWS version an angel is holding two cups and he is mixing the contents. The Angel is said to be Arch Angel Michael. This card also holds a great positive of being able to hear to higher divine messages from angels.

2. Which Area of my life will it effect
13 - Death
I guess some parts of my life are transforming for good, an end of a cycle is here and a new cycle will begin and my super power to keep calm will help me through this.
In this deck both the Temperance and the Death cards have same background. Only the sun is bright in Temperance card and there are dark shadows in Death card. This Sun will help me in the dark periods of my life.

3. How to nourish on daily basis
Five of Swords
An empty victory. The idea of this card is that in a relationship, of any kind, when you win an argument you actually have lost a relationship. I can nourish my super power by telling myself that not all victories are worth it. Sometimes I can win a lot by accepting defeat. I do not have to win in all cases.

Wheel of Fortune

My one card a day study is going well and its my 3rd day today and I'm pulling a major everyday so far.

The card I pulled today is:

This card is one card which I used to pull a lot when I was going through a transition phase in my life. This card is all about destiny, which is out of your hands. This is why this card is a wheel up in clouds, beyond your control. When this card appears you know that things are not in your control.

One main theme associated with this card is change and an unavoidable change in situation. This change will not be sudden like The Tower, it will be gradual. The Wheel of Fortune will spin and things will change for you. What is down may go up and what is up now may go down,it can be either of the two cases.

The Wheel is a symbol which describes our life. Life goes in cycles, neither the good times nor the bad times last forever. Besides that the spinning of the wheel can be associated with movement forward. Overall it is a positive card because it assures there is a change in the situation coming.

Keywords: destiny, movement
Astrological association: Jupiter which rules Thursday.
Numerological association: 10 = 1 which is the card of beginnings, invention and creativity.

Relationship Cross Spread

Originally found here

This spread is done for a couple who is having a good/bad time and they have no idea where they are heading.

1. Querent's position in the relationship:
Two of Swords:
Two is a number of duality, choices and partnership. The suit of Swords is associated with mind and thinking. With Mercury being retrograde, we find the querent in a position of tension and mental dilemma. He is unable to decide what he wants to do and this is keeping him blocked. In the card we can see the lady sitting in front of two roads going in opposite directions. She has sort of given up on situation the
way she is sitting crossing the swords at her heart, She is not sure or she is hesitant to make a choice.
2. Querent's partner's position in the relationship:
The Tower
This card is about your whole world falling apart. This usually happens out of blue when something just happens and the next moment everything around you is just breaking loose. It looks like the partner is ruined or destructed in the relationship. It can also be a way to break everything and then starting afresh. In the picture we can see the lightening has struck and things are falling apart. People are jumping out of window to rescue themselves.
3. The past
Nine of Cups
This is the wish card of the deck. When this card appears consider yourself lucky because your biggest wish will be fulfilled. In the past position we can say that they have been very happy in the past. They wished for each other and the basis of the relationship is their wish to be with each other.

4. What is between them right now:
Eight of Swords
Eight is the number of balance and karma. Swords is the suit of mind and intellect. This card tells us that there are problems, possibly to do with communication with this couple. There are misunderstandings between them. Here we see a lady blindfolded (not knowing the facts) and her hands are tied (helplessness) and there are swords around her (problems and misunderstandings).

5. The future:
Eight of Cups
Another eight. Here we see the couple leaving old problems and misunderstandings behind and moving to the new happier times. There can be a change of scene for better between them. But right now there is a need to find a distraction from each other. This card shows feeling of being dejected.

Summary: Right at this time things are not right between them. There are problems which need clear communication. I pulled one extra card as "ADVICE" card to improve the situation and no doubt, I pulled

This card tells the couple to be clear to each other, talk things through and start afresh. There is a need to be "LOUD" and clear with each other.

The Spread has 2 swords, 2 cups and 1 major in this spread excluding the advice card. The Swords and Cups are Air and Water which are friendly but passive. There is a need to be calm and talk things through. The Past , Present and Future positions are 9, 8 and 8 which show that things have rather gone a notch down between them and will remain like now for a little time in to future. 8 appeared twice which is also the number for manifestation, karma and ego. They must let go of their selfishness in order to save the relationship.

The Justice

The reason I do not want to study the cards one by one in their original order or the numerological order because few years ago I came across this web-site lotustarot.com where once you subscribe you will receive an email from them at random times and the card described in the email will be a random one. I have received almost 30 emails from them and most often they arrive at a time when I will be needing the advice given in them given the situations around me. I have found the synchronization of Universal events works the best.

This is why I will pick up a random card, believing there is a special message. This is the lesson universe wants me to learn right now.

The card I pulled out today is 11-Justice.

First thing we see here is this man is also wearing red cloak. He is among the other three men in the major arcana who are wearing red cloaks (The Magician, The Emperor and The Hierophant).

Justice card is about doing the right thing. Universe is Just, God is Just, we should be Just too. This card also holds the message, which by the way is one of my favorites, that what goes around comes around. What you sow, you eventually have to reap it. There is no escape and there is no way out. Justice eventually will always be served its like a universal rule. The other attribute I associate with this card is that of balance. We need to bring a balance in our life. Ever thought why we use the symbol of scale for justice? Its because Justice is about balance and equality. What is good is good for all and what is bad is bad for all, no exceptions. You should always treat others the way you want them to treat you because what you do to them will eventually haunt you down and hit you in the face. This card is straight forward, to the point and there is no-nonsense involved.

The Sword in this card represents that. Clarity of mind. We can associate it to the Ace of Swords which is the clear thinking and clarity of thought for me. This symbol represents truth and clarity in matters. We need to see through our actions clearly what we need to do and this will help us in achieving balance.

The Crown, the throne and the cloak all together give a feeling of "royalty" with this person. This shows that this person is in a position to serve the justice. This card may represent legal matters where a judge is involved.

When you look at this card you need to ask yourself, where did I go wrong? Which part of my life is out of balance? which part of me am I neglecting? What have I done to bring this onto myself?

Keywords: karma, decision, legal matters involving court
Astrological Correspondence: Libra (because of the Scale symbol).
Element: Air
Colours: soft pastel feminine colours
Numerological Correspondence: 11- which is considered a master number. It is the ultimate universal teacher. In numerology they always teach you to never reduce the master numbers however if you do reduce 11 to 2 you get The High Priestess, and the association is undeniable because this man is sitting in front of the purple veil, between two pillars, on a stone throne just like The High Priestess. Number 2 is also the number of balance, duality, choice, partnership and crossroads.

As a Person:

If this card represents a person, look for a strong Libra in the chart. If you have no idea about the astrological charts then this person is someone who is extremely just. He can give up on anything just for the sake of making sure justice is served. This person will never force his decisions on you, he will rather work patiently to make you see the point. This person is responsible, honest and true. He has a strong sense for justice.

As a situation:
When you find this card explaining a situation you know you are at a crossroad. There are areas regarding your question which are out of balance and you need to think clearly which areas those are. The surrounding cards may give you hints but this card on its own may represent a legal matter.

You may also be facing a choice leading to a decision. Just make sure you evaluate all your options correctly because every choice you make today will effect your tomorrow.

One card a day! The Emperor says that!

I thought about learning the Tarot the proper way but my problem is that I'm not very regular. I occassionaly pick up my tarot deck and stare at the picture and try to make some sense. My basic interest has been the oracles so far. But I still find Tarot fascinating.

I came across this site and found some really useful spreads/meanings and associations for tarot and my interest for tarot sparked again. I will start it properly this time and I promise I will be regular.

Starting with 1 card..

The first card I got me is a Major.Major cards are the events that are out of our control.

The first word that comes to my mind when I look at this picture, is father. The reason I say that is because the man looks old and he looks like he is far wiser than any other card in the trumps. He is sitting in a throne and he is not looking at me rather he is focused somewhere else.

There are two Ram heads on his throne, which reminds me the astrological correspondence is Aries which is the first sign of the Zodiac.

The man is wearing red cloak and there is red and yellow in background which tells there is lots of Mars energy in this card. The colours also remind me of "Fire", shades of orange, red and yellow.

If I look at another of my favorite decks, I get that it means authority. The posture in which this man is sitting shouts "authority and power" to me.

He is also a little older (dad's age probably) and his wrinkled hands show he is a hard worker. He is staring directly at me and he looks very powerful. His leg is stretched straight in front and he is probably "too straight forward" kind of man.

The number of this card is 4 which is the number of structure (like four pillars) and stability. Combining 4 with Emperor and Aries and Mars we get a really stubborn person or a stand-still situation.

So after looking at the cards, we have following meanings:

Keywords: father-figure, authority
Astrological Correspondence: Aries
Colours: Red
Element: Fire
Numerological correspondence: 4 = stability, stubborn, stand-still

As a Person:

This person is very very egotistic. His "self" is his first love. He can give up anything for the sake of his self-esteem. This person is extremely self-obsessed you can say. He will never admit his mistakes even when he knows he is wrong. He is like the traditional father-figure, you know, the kind who will never give up on their ideas. They believe they are right and everybody else is wrong. They will want to be understood, but never understand. You can say he does not care whether you are there or not. This is what he actually shows. Deep down, he cares a lot. He pretends he doesn't care because he has this huge bruised ego. Never, and I mean Never hit this person's ego and self-esteem. They will never forgive you.
He will go to extremes to love you and protect you but once you hurt him, there is a little chance he will ever forgive or forget it. Make sure you want to go out of his life before you hurt his ego because he believes in second chances, but he will remember what you did last time and will remind you over and over.He is extremely stubborn. He knows his ways through things. He wants everything his way or you may hit the road, and if you do not, he will!

He is a gem, a real gem, but at the same time, do not cross his path!

As a Situation:
If the Emperor appears in a situation position, you should know that you have to be very calm and patient. The situation is not as easy as you may think it is. It is a tough task because you have to maintain a balance between holding on and letting go. Do not hold on too tight and do not let it all break loose, you get the picture. In simple words, things might get a little over-bearing or over-powering. You might come across a situation involving a very powerful, stubborn and authoritative person. This is where you have to make a choice. If you press too hard, you will just worsen the situation. If you take it too easy, you may trigger all the wrong actions. This card is fire, it may extinguish and make you cold or it may get out of control and burn you. Find a way through keeping balance.
